To be fearless for God
I think for my time here at SPU the theme has been ‘fearless,’ and that was something I carried coming into SPU. I remember last year thinking that I had to find the next step and a community, but I didn’t know how I was going to find it. I was looking into SPU online and reading about what it provides for its students. I just felt like God was leading me in this direction. When I realized that this may end up happening, my late grandmother was living in our home and I was helping take care of her. I was thinking that I needed to plan out what it’s going to look like if I stay in Sacramento for one more year, or what it’s going to look like if I leave now. I started reflecting on why I needed to leave in the first place and what is it that I need to do for myself. And I realized that it was just to be fearless for God, grow in these moments spiritually and to also finish up my academic career and find a community up here. In that moment, I realized that I need to make this fearless move and I had complete peace about it.
