I have your back
My name is Brooklyn Liberato. I was born and raised in Washington. At home, I was an only child but always wished I had siblings. Though I don’t have any, I have two cousins who are like sisters to me. Growing up, I always valued the relationships I had with people. To some who may not know me, I may come off as quiet and judgmental. But really, I am actually someone who tends to observe my surroundings and becomes more open and extroverted as time goes on. When you really take time to invest in getting to know me, as well as me getting to know you, you’ll know that I have your back with almost anything. I think a part of my values surrounding my relationships was influenced by my mom.
My mom and I are very close. When I found out she had cancer I was devastated. It was hard seeing her go through the difficulties surrounding that illness. Around the same time, my friend’s mom passed away due to an accident. With both of these events, I became hypersensitive and more aware about life. With this, I also made it a point to live life with no regrets because everything that’s happened in my life so far has lead me to where I am today.
Today, I am a second year student at SPU and am a part of SPU’s rowing team. I was originally going to SPU with the intention of applying to the nursing program, but then realized that I wanted to go into Dietetics instead. I think health and staying active is very important which is why I am interested in possibly getting a major with an emphasis on Dietetics. I am also looking to potentially get a minor in Psychology.
Aside from family, school, and my potential career interests, I hope to travel one day. Since I’ve always lived in Washington I would love to explore other areas that I haven’t seen before.
